Waiting on Wednesday (28)

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases we're eagerly anticipating.

Some quick self-promotion: make sure to check out my international Throne of Glass giveaway if you want your very own hardcover copy of Sarah J. Maas's debut novel! My review of the second novella, The Assassin and the Desert, will be going up later today and even though I didn't care much for it, the novel itself is pretty damn good.

I really have nothing more to say about my WoW choice this week than EEEEEEEEEEEEEK NOVA REN SUMA'S NEXT BOOK EEEEEEEEEEK! I loved Imaginary Girls and liked Dani Noir (which was recently updated and republished in paperback as Fade Out) and I'm certain 17 & Gone is going to rock too, especially if its brand of magical realism is anything like the one in Imaginary Girls. I'll force someone (like, say, my helpless roommates) to give me a ride to the bookstore so I can get my own copy if that's what it takes.

17 & Gone17 & Gone
by Nova Ren Suma
March 21, 2013

Seventeen-year-old Lauren is having visions of girls who have gone missing. And all these girls have just one thing in common—they are 17 and gone without a trace. As Lauren struggles to shake these waking nightmares, impossible questions demand urgent answers: Why are the girls speaking to Lauren? How can she help them? And . . . is she next? As Lauren searches for clues, everything begins to unravel, and when a brush with death lands her in the hospital, a shocking truth emerges, changing everything.

I love hearing what others have to say about books and it makes me feel less like I'm talking to an empty auditorium, so comment away. Thank you for reading my blog post!
